The Internet Movie Database ~ a great place to find out about movies, tv, actors, and crew, etc.
TV.com TV.com ~ a great place to find out about TV shows, details on individual episodes, the actors, crew, reviews and fan comments.
EpGuides Logo
EpGuides.com ~ a simpler database of all the TV shows you can think of, and many you've probably forgotten!   Just gives basic cast and crew details, with an episode list of each TV series.
Wikipedia.org Wikipedia.org ~ A great online encyclopaedia.
Real Climate Real Climate ~ "RealClimate is a commentary site on climate science by working climate scientists for the interested public and journalists. We aim to provide a quick response to developing stories and provide the context sometimes missing in mainstream commentary."

Interesting Companies / Businesses / Organisations

NZCCRI New Zealand Climate Change Research Institute - set up by my Dad, and he's still working there (though semi-retired).
NIWA National Institute for Water and Atmospheric Research - Dad used to work there, and a lot of my friends have worked there, and some still do.
IPCC Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change - Dad was the director of Working Group I's Technical Support Unit (TSU) from 2002 - 07, based in Boulder Colorado.
Handmade Productions Aotearoa Handmade Productions Aotearoa - a Wellington based film production company run by my sister and brother-in-law.

Charities I support

Sanctuary For Kids S4K was started by Amanda Tapping, Damian Kindler and Jill Bodie.
"The mission of Sanctuary for Kids is to improve the lives of children around the world who need protection ad are in crisis - those who are exploited, dispossessed and threatened." - brief taken from the S4K website.
TEAR Fund TEAR Fund is a charity that helps people and communities in the third world.   My family and I have sponsored children through TEAR Fund since the end of the '80s.
